#PBFest: International and digital participatory budgeting meetup

This event will offer a glimpse of some of the exciting developments for participatory budgeting from across the world, helping to point to some of the exciting and interesting ways PB - and in particular digital PB - can be used to transform peoples involvement in the spending decisions that affect them.

Participatory budgeting (PB) in Scotland has already come a long way. In a short space of time, we've seen councils and community organisations using PB to hand more power on spending decision directly to communities. But, with the Scottish Government's target of one percent of local authority spending to be decided by PB by the 2020/21 financial year, PB and digital PB are about to get a lot more familiar.

The event is hosted by The Democratic Society on the eve of Scotland's Participatory Budgeting festival.
